Fine Artwork by Josie
Josie Jesmer loves to paint and is passionate about it. Her
love for oil on canvas in translated into her work, but it is her risk-taking
design and use of materials, such as sugar and paper, that add dimension and
texture to her creations, making each one a true one-of-a kind. She enjoys
becoming engrossed in the process of applying paint to the canvas, watching
paint drip, slide, dance, and create patterns as it dries. Josie uses bold and
pure color, painting mostly in oils and acrylics on canvas. She is known for
her abstractions of the female form, use of color, and experiments with
textures. She explores the study of the figure in motion. Josie has a growing
series of work entitled, "Bodyscapes: The Sensuality of the Female Form, " which
she is passionate about and continues to explore and push the envelope. She
loves emotion, excitement, action, drama and is attracted to motion, color and
movement and the wow factor.
Josie has been a featured artist at Cafe Tu Tu Tango in Orange, CA since 1999. She has been commissioned to create art for offices, private owners, and
restaurants, as well as creating wall murals for children's bedrooms and
nurseries.
